Introducing CIDAPE: Seeing Emotions in a New Light
What does it mean to study emotions as part of political and social life? Urban Futures Studio researcher Christina Klubert shares insights from the EU Horizon project 'CIDAPE: Climate, Inequality and Democratic Action' led by Anna Durnová, in a new 5-part vlog series. The vlogs take you step by step through CIDAPE's research and reflections on emotions, inequality, and democracy.
In the five-part vlog series "Emotions, Inequality, Climate Policy and Democracy," Christina Klubert invites co-members of the CIDAPE research team to share insights about their research in an accessible way. Across the series, the researchers offer different perspectives on the role of emotions in inequality, climate policy, and democracy: how emotions shape and characterise societies in times of profound change, how they are produced and influenced by social and political forces, the tragic qualities of dominant democratic practices such as citizen participation, as well as lessons learned on how to take emotions seriously to revitalise democratic life.
